we have had birds nesting in our eaves every year since we have lived here. it’s wonderful watching the adult birds coming and going from their little hole in our house. in Spring their mouths come laden with twigs and sticks and in Summer one bird is constantly to-ing and fro-ing with a variety of slimy munchies for the newly hatched (and rather noisy!) chicks. June 2012.

Lovely little sparrows. They are rare here now, which is a shame.
I know. It is actually quite an honour to have this little family of them back every year to nest on our eaves!
